Robin JohnsonRobin was born in Bowling Green Kentucky and began her love for children early in life as the neighborhood and family baby sitter. Babysitting lead to her earning money for books and expenses while attending Western Kentucky University. At Western Kentucky University Robin majored in Physical Education with a concentration in Secondary Education.

Upon relocating to Atlanta in 1981, Robin worked with one of Atlanta’s largest Temporary and Permanent Placement Agency. While there she excelled in employment counseling, temporary and permanent staffing for Fortune 500 companies in Metro Atlanta.

Robin attended Cascade UMC where she volunteered in the children’s ministry and VBS.

October 1983 Robin married George A. Johnson, and they became the proud parents of three successful children, Brian, Brianna, and Brittaney. After the birth of their youngest daughter Robin left the corporate world and returned to her first love, education. Robin directed the after school program and summer camp for Emmanuel UMC where she was also the chairperson for the children’s ministry. Robin’s natural gifts lead to great demands for her unique ability to nurture and educate young children. Consequently, Robin began a new career in Early Childhood Education. In 1992 Robin’s Nest Early Learning Center and Christian Academy was founded.

For 22 years Robin led her team of educators in establishing one of South Atlanta’s premier Christian schools serving children ages new born to 7th grade. Robin continued her love of serving children and their families by establishing a Non-Profit organization (Nest Of Care Inc.) in 2008. (Nest Of Care Inc.) fed over 800 under- privilege children breakfast and lunch during summer break.

Robin currently teaches kindergarten at Greater Saint Peter Christian Academy, and is eager to bring her talents and gifts to serve the ministries, families, and children of Linked UP Church.
