21 Days of Prayer: Day 18 – Passion

Categories: Principles,Stories

Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
– Romans 12:11 (NKJV)
Remember the passion you had for the Lord when you first gave your life to Jesus? Remember the excitement and the enthusiasm you felt? Sometimes life’s disappointments and difficulties cause us to lose some of our passion. Sometimes it’s just the passing of time that causes our personal walk with the Lord to become routine and less passionate. If your walk has become routine and you’ve lost your passion, it’s time to change that. Don’t live another day of dull, routine, passionless Christianity.
Every part of you, from your mental, physical, and spiritual strengths to your unique package of talents and experiences, is designed to fulfill your God-given purpose. Fulfilling your purpose will require passion. Every one of us was created for a specific reason and purpose. Discovering our purpose will unlock within us the passion or motivation required of us to fulfill our purpose and do God’s will.

Thought for the Day:

Every part of you, from your mental, physical, and spiritual strengths to your unique package of talents and experiences, is designed to fulfill your God-given purpose.

Connect & Reflect:
  • What specific word or phrase from Romans 12:11 stood out or spoke to you today?
  • For you, what does it look like to be fervent in spirit?
  • If you could do something for the kingdom of God without compensation for the rest of your life, what would that be?

LINKED UP KIDS PRAYER TARGETS: Day 18

We are using daily prayer targets as a way to encourage our families to pray for their children each day during 21 Days of Prayer:
I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. – Proverbs 8:17 (NKJV)

  • Passion – Heavenly Father, give my child a passion for the things that you love. May they be bold worshippers and witnesses for your kingdom. In the Name of Jesus, Amen!
